🔧 How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and personalise the EVdex experience (favourites, history, recommendations)
• Allow you to submit and view EV reviews
• Improve app performance and fix bugs
• Send relevant EV news and updates (only if you opt in)
• Respond to support requests

We do not sell your personal information to any third party.

🤝 Third-Party Services

EVdex uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy practices:

• Firebase (Google) – Authentication, database (Firestore), and app analytics. Firebase Privacy Policy
• NewsAPI.org – Fetches EV-related news articles. No personal data is shared with NewsAPI.
• Google Gemini API – Powers the in-app EV assistant chatbot. Queries may be processed by Google's servers.

🔒 Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your data. All data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored securely on Firebase servers. Access to your data is restricted to authenticated users only.

However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

👶 Children's Privacy

EVdex is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us and we will delete it.
